Elyse and Nick’s engagement session at Mayslake Peabody Estate felt extra meaningful since it’s where they got engaged! Nick planned a romantic and surprise proposal for Elyse right in the estate’s historic library, with all their family present to celebrate. It made everything feel personal from the beginning and I couldn’t think of a better place for their engagement photos. The estate had so many unique spaces, secret doors, and little turns throughout. And honestly, we could have kept shooting for hours! Every room gave us something different, but more than that, Elyse and Nick just made it so easy. I could tell right away how comfortable they are together, quick to laugh, and clearly each other’s best friends!
For the second half of the session, we headed outside and braved the chilly March weather for photos around the chapel and grounds. Even without spring in full bloom yet, the Estate still photographed beautifully, snow flakes and all! It was such a great afternoon, spent getting to know an incredible couple. We are so excited to celebrate these two in October for their fall nuptials in northern Chicagoland. It’s going to be a really good one!! Elyse and Nick, we are so excited for you and you are in our prayers!
