Michaela and Grayson’s wedding day was eagerly awaited and even more lovely than imagined. They chose a dusty blue and blush color palette with accents of greenery. It was the perfect theme for an outdoor wedding reception and fit Michaela’s personal style perfectly.
The day started with Michaela and her bridesmaids getting ready in her childhood home. Excitement filled the air as everyone bustled around to prepare, but the whole morning was so joyful and relaxed! Michaela chose to have a first look with her parents, siblings, and bridesmaids and they were as sweet as can be. I have never seen more genuine reactions to seeing a bride, they were ALL filled with TRUE emotion. Not one moment was played up for the cameras, it was like I wasn’t even there. It was beautiful to see. Michaela is an outstanding older sister to her sweet siblings, and you can tell they all love her back just as much as she loves them.
Michaela and Grayson got the full range of weather on their wedding day! The day started off foggy but later broke into the most beautiful sunshine. At the reception, just after the speeches, it downpoured and the most beautiful rainbow appeared!! As everyone gave their speeches, one of Michaela’s family members gathered a jar full of rainwater which their priest blessed right there! It was the coolest thing! Wedding holy water straight from the heavens!
Michaela and Grayson’s entered the reception where Michaela’s sweet dad gave a welcome toast and the most amazing blessing. If any of you know Michaela in real life, you remember that she has the most INCREDIBLE voice. Truly one of the best I have ever heard, it is clear she received this gift from both parents. Her mom and dad blessed Michaela and Grayson with a song and prayed over them. It was an amazing and emotional moment and everyone had tears in their eyes. It was so touching and special to Michaela, you could tell how much it meant to her.
After Michaela and Grayson shared dances with their parents, Grayson danced with Michaela’s sweet, little sister! Michaela joked that her little sister also wanted to marry Grayson! It was only fitting that they also had a first dance. You can tell that Grayson has already stepped into an older brother role with Michaela’s siblings, it is precious! Later in the evening, Michaela surprised Grayson with a song she wrote for him, titled “My Love” Every guest was emotional again, even Grayson. I hope Michaela chooses to record the song one day, her talent is unmatched!
The night ended with stunning sunset portraits, endless dancing, and another rain shower. It was a romantic end to a day carefully chosen by God, just for Michaela and Grayson. What a gift they are to each other and this world, I cannot wait to see what they do for His glory.
I hope you enjoy the highlights from their day! And when I say “highlights” I actually mean everything because each moment was a new highlight. Get ready for a very long blog post 🙂 Michaela and Grayson, thank you for having me share in your joyful celebration and for your witness to The Lord. I will never forget this special day!
Congratulations, Michaela and Grayson! May God bless you both always.
